I guess you're right, since I posted something below called "Talking to Jesus, not yelling at him." Funny thing is, I was thinking of that while I was typing the above, trying to imagine how it would look and sound. Family members didn't just come in and do the salaaming before the great king, then respectfully present their petitions. We first did the prerequisite salaamis, then began yelling at the king, commanding him and ordering him about. What kind of a prayer life is that?
