Funk and Wagnalls dictionary says "[1.] Meaningless, complicated, or obscure ritual, observance, incantation, etc." So that doesn't fit. "[2.] In certain African tribes, a village god or idol who opposes evil and terrifies the women into subjection. <Mandingo -mama dyambo>." Okay, so that definitely doesn't fit either.
I didn't know there were Mama Mumbo gods like that. My point was I didn't see how astrology could work. No one really stepped up and tried to explain it. Peace.
