well, geeze. I only glanced through your lengthy post. Grandchildren are here. All I can say right now is that I did not learn the bible by memorizing through rote memory verse after verse after verse. And I am so traumatized by it that when I hear those verses, I can barely think of anything but what was attached to those verses. You can stand for whatever you want, but you missed my point completley. And no, I don't think tongues are anything but what people make up. That's my position and I don't mind saying it, even if it offends people. I'm not stopping them, just stating my position.
