Good observations, Chris. I'd never noticed that though it sure makes a lot of sense. This also puts a nail in the coffin of one of Berg's other doctrines. Remember the ML "God's Vomit" with a drawing of Jesus puking his guts out? Berg taught that when Jesus said he would "spew" the lukewarm out of his mouth, that "spew" meant that we were making God sick to his stomach and he had to lean over and heave us up like so much puke.
Berg based a whole doctrine on that one word, yet "spew" really only describes someone not liking the taste of lukewarm water and spitting it out. It's a colorful word-picture but it's nowhere near the same as describing people as vomit.
In fact, as I recall the case of the guy Berg wrote the ML "God's Vomit" about, the guy wanted to go be with his wife rather than accept a WS job, so Berg said that poor guy's love for his wife made God vomit. Talk about having things backwards!
