I agree with almost all you wrote, however one problem remains & that is not easily solved (necessarily)...: true we're all in the world & yet Christians are not of the world...b u t some have the label Christian (as TF begs that comparison & exsample), but aren't behaving like it, as Paul noted about some churchmembers in Corinth...similar situations are described in Revelation...with the resulting problem, that not all, who say Lord, Lord are necessarily born again Christians...apparently the poster has some conditions of who & how someone could fit into the whole picture....regardless of whether I sympathise with the approach here or not...I think it's just right, to have in mind, whom you could harmonise with or not...if we read the epistles of John, it becomes very evident, that we shouldn't love the world ...& if someone is too deep entrenched/trapped in worldy affairs, by someones individual yardstick - however in agreement with biblical teaching, as I figure from what the poster wrote - I think it's only logic, that you couldn't be in harmony with the other Amos 3:3 !
