What you're saying is what I'm trying to say too. We want to talk about our journeys here: what we live, feel, love, believe, learn, and all the rest. All those things that I didn't have when I was a Family member. I like what Julia Cameron says, the importance of the journey is the arrivals, not the destination.
I agree with you and the guidelines for the board are clear, this board is not a place for the personal witnessing and being told that there's something wrong with who you are.
Another example of this: Some of the things that my present journey's about falls into the New Age category. I like to talk about it. To many Christians this is dangerous because many Christians believe that the devil hides his lies in angel-of-light New-Ageism.
I accept that many people may believe that I’ve gone astray. But I don’t thing Journeys is a place to be told that. When someone’s faith is in something other than mine, then that faith can be described and the person describing it can say what their faith does for them, in the first person, just as the atheist has a place here to describe what atheism does for him/her. We need this space to be able to talk about our journeys without constraints, other than the guidelines. That’s how I see it. (I posted a couple things on this subject a little further down in an exchange with OT2.)
