Music has been a great part of my journey now and before TF. I've from time to time posted lyrics of songs that have moved me at a particular time and it was sad that that is all I posted was the lyrics missing the whole beauty of the song. I will attempt here to post both the lyrics and a link for the song itself. As I said music has really been a large part of my journey especially listening to contemporary music that TF calls brackish. It is by a group called River, which I had never heard of until my wife had brought home the CD she had bought at a thrift store. In TF times of music were referred to as "inspiration" which really loses what the music is for to give worship and praise and worship to the King of Kings and not to inspire ourselves with some fantasy music about gypsies, or a perverted king david.
Hopefully this link will work as I've never tried a link to an MP3.
The Grace of God
Music and Lyrics by: Paul Marino
I remember the time
When I gave the Lord my Life
Down there on the bedroom floor
Is where he opened my hearts door
I prayed I sang I laughed I cried
When I realized He died
For my sin and for my gain
For my past and future pain
Chorus:
There is nothing I want more
Than what I have in Christ my Lord
There’s no greater life to know
Than living in the grace of God
As I grow older still I find
Sometimes I fail sometimes I’m blind
Yet He’s there along the way
Giving me strength to stay
Chorus:
Someday when I reach the end
I will see a faithful friend
I’ll bow before Him at his throne
And that’s when I will know I’m home
Chorus Twice:
