Theories are very powerful, because they can be proven or disproven. Although the cause for trans-sexualism is unknown, there's plenty of evidence that these folks are wired different than you or I.
So what are some alternative explanations for trans-sexualism that might refute the mushy little theories of biology, genetics & neuro-science?
1) Demonic influence
2) Sinful lifestyle choice
3) Strong delusion
NONE of these are theories that can be supported or refuted by observation, predictive modeling, or lab tests. They're beliefs based on faith & values. Beliefs based on faith & values cannot be empirically tested. Theories can be tested and refuted or supported.
Here's the deal: Once we take sexual orientation, gender identity, and erotic object preference out of the realm of faith, values & morals and into the realm of science, we are attempting to understand a condition that has nothing to do with good and bad, and everything to do with biological diversity.
