MG said: “About warning people about practices that are non Christian, and/or trying to convince people that someone else has had life experiences that make them more of an authority in spiritual matters than those of us who aren't as "enlightened", it's just tiring.
I like my journey, Jo answers me telling me things about what she's living, and ask me questions to know more about the little bit I've tried to say about the path I'm walking at this time.
Having what I believe brought into question here doesn't threaten me, but it is a drag. I put it up because I like the discourse I can have with people who are genuinely interested and who maybe can share things with me that are similar.
A lot of what I believe doesn't jive with the Bible, I already know that, there's really know point in telling me.
MG:
What I say about my experiences I am not necessarily “trying to convince” anyone about. I am just putting them “out there”. People can do whatever they want to, with the information. Literally, take it or leave it.
You, MG, have authority in things that you yourself have actually experienced, versus the lack of authority, IN THAT SUBJECT, which I might conversely lack. That’s true for all of us.
Since you brought up the subject, yourself, all by yourself, on an open board, that implies you were offering the topic up for random comment (otherwise, why post in the first place?), and didn’t particularly like the frank answer from actual experience that you DID get, I now question your sincerity about it; completely.
So, your descriptive word, “tiring” appears as an insult, denoting superiority to the one (me) offering their explanation of your supposed “open question”. So, you just suckered me, and nothing alse. That reflect on you; not me, MG. Tsk, tsk!
You either were actually sincere, or you were not, and already had your insult ready, and were just baiting Christians; in an only slightly less subtle way of showing disrespect; which just makes it seem that you are “testing the waters”, to see which form of insult and disrespect the Coordinators will actually call you on, and which ones you think that you can easily get away with.
That’s pretty funny; actually, also quite transparent. ( 8-P Booo! Bad form! )
You may actually be telling the truth, although not ALL of the truth, when you say that, “I like my journey, Jo answers me telling me things about what she's living, and ask me questions to know more about the little bit I've tried to say about the path I'm walking at this time.” Since that was posted here on an open forum (called a “chat board”—big fat give-away HINT, there! ;-) ), you are asking for all interested responses, like it or not, since you did not specify your now-apparent “preferences” beforehand—see how that works? ;-)
Only you are implying any kind of threat, here, MG; I’m certainly not.
If you insist that you were “reproved” (in the sense of merely “informing”) by a “big old meanie” (meaning me) whom you imagine “rebuked you” (your posted words) in the past (the resolution of that, which you rejected for unknown reasons, is conveniently further down the posting threads page), and that this is the retribution, I’m afraid that I now feel like I am dealing with someone less than manly and honest, here.
“That’s not quite cricket, old man”, as the Brits, New Zealanders, AND Aussies say; right, susie?!
It’s outside the rules, so-to-speak, MG, to draw someone in only in order to “ambush” them, with something they could not have known.
That would, of course, say more about the kind of person who would set such a trap, than about the one drawn in and suckered, MG.
Think about it.
I am glad for what you do already “know”. I certainly hope that you choose to apply that knowledge in a manner denoting actual wisdom; don’t you think that would be the next “best thing” to do?
Get real; dude! And, ;-) keep a sense of humor!
Sincerely,
“tiring” old “knowing” (your spelling!!!)
