I think Susie's attempt to divide "the troops" is also a bit based on inconsistance...if you noticed the debate on homosexuality, prompted by her "nice" joke...well, what Mr. Don aptly contributed was far from being received well by people like Jo e.g. & I doubt Susie appreciated that stance as well...may it be for her preferences or whatever...
It's only logic & clear to me, that sooner or later it always comes to a crunch, a showdown...a proof how someone is "wired" within & as I abhor hypocrisy, it's in my eyes more commendable to spell things out like you do, even if the wording is not to everyones liking, although I get more & more the feeling, that it's the heavy contents behind it, with which people have their problem.
I know about plenty teachers, who have been very heavy on their students/pupils, but in the end were loved for it, because they were more brilliant in their studies than many of their peers...it's a nasty temptation of the flesh, to be too kind to others...so that others in return can be "very kind and careful" about the weaknesses of your own flesh.I think I had a very long time & too good a share of pampering my own flesh & weaknesses, so I think it's fairly human
& sometimes I wished, people would have been a bit tougher with me...out of love & concern...
