That would probably make an interesting read: the Talmud from a Jewish woman's perspective. I understand now why the rabbis made so many commentaries on the Old Testament -- there were difficult passages there that really needed explanation or interpretation.
I once read a book written by a Jewish lady where she wrote that the language in the story of Abraham nearly sacrificing Isaac had a "dreamlike quality" to it, leading her to believe that it had actually been a vision, not a real event. I kind of doubt that, but I'm open to it.
