There are plenty of people angry about religion after being so abused in the name of Jesus. I can relate to the post as far as how I feel about RELIGION and much of what I have seen in the name of "Jesus", but it is not how I feel anymore about Christians in general anymore.
Probably because there are so many interpretations of Christianity but when I see or hear about it in action like what Mother Theresa did, or in just un-acknowledged random acts of kindness (to borrow from buddhism!) from people who I would call Christian, or I experience something personally, or interpersonally where a "Christian" is involved and it is positive, I have another take on Christianity.
It's not my religion but I respect some people whose religion it is.
Once I was in a desperate place physically and was helped by a generous Christian who was a stranger to me.
Another time I was in a desperate place in the Family and an Atheist who was a stranger helped me.
Both of them were very spiritual people, imo.
