"Distain for Christians" may not be the correct expression. I see Another View's post more as a distorted perception of Christianity and a limited understanding of what it means to follow Jesus Christ.
I've seen and heard many of the attitudes expressed in View's post come from people who identify as Christians. I've heard it enough that I began to wonder if I wanted to publically identify myself as a Christian on a chatboard like Journeys. I've even had people challenge me and ask, "Are you a Christian?" when I express a point of view that runs contrary to the some of the narrow-minded ignorance characterized in View's lampoon.
It is unfortunate that we who call ourselves Christian can project such distorted views of who we are and the diversity of that our faith allows.
