Had nothing to do with coporal punishment.
It had everything to do with recognising that children are not adults and do not have the same rights. (They can't vote)
To me the dicussion was just becoming silly.
I haven't used corporal punishment for years and years, but I won't say that it is never necessary which I find too fanatical.
