Agree 100% with everything thats been said. I didn't have pets growing up either, but a year ago, my brother-in-law's labrador retriever had pups and we took one of them on - Bella, now 1 year old. She has brought so much to our family, it's just like haveing another child! She's part of the family, and gives way more affection than she receives, I'm sure.
Bella's favourite time of day is her morning walk with me - we go to the dog park at the end our street and meet up with her other favourite labby pals!
