Would I get furious at this man???...No...I don't smoke...and never really did...bad for my lungs and I wouldn't advise it to him...and I think, he would learn a lot from the Bible...but the guy is in slumber still, so the value is not apparent to him.

Not every church-visitor must necessarily be a Christian...some pastors can be wolves in sheep's clothings...only yardstick is the Bible and observing people's walk with HIM...after the work of HIS sole grace...it's a matter for followers of Christ and the apostles to show their faith in works of love...a matter of a sanctification-process...
No good deeds in someone's life can make someone doubt --not prove-- the others salvation/union with HIM...
TFI has some good actions, some total unbiblical ones...that makes it difficult, to properly "put them in the right drawer"

Those were there former "hurtful" books...which they had the right to burn...rather then selling them on the "old ebay-market".
I did rip/tear apart my old books upon joining...some were of asian religions...some esoterical stuff...like about pendulums...rune-magic...etc....I must say: I felt good!!!...My Music-records however got sold by TFI...I assume...and they wasn't pure either...

Nowhere in the Bible I find, that you're supposed to love the devil...to love lies...don't you think so?...may be the devil doesn't exist anymore for you??...and may be you think, lies are all relative...judged by "pure" science...reasoning...in the age of "enlightenment"
Personally I think it's more a PR-drive by that church...instead of witnessing ...making a positive stand against Islam...by simply witnessing biblical truth instead of first buying Koran-books...as I assume... and then burning them...total waste....
I think the leaders of many/most religious movements are nowadays on this lovy-dovy - peace to all "trip"...nobody should claim, his religion is the only, the truth...I just read it on the plane back from vacations...the head of the German Lutheran church said something of the like...
I rather adhere to John 14:6...I do believe in that message...but I don't yet own a Koran...and if...I would use it for reference sake
