Ok...but I beg to differ between the "performance" of the early church (even if there were light quarrels) and then what later transpired...also because really anointed leaders seemed to have been sorely missing...I think I read something up before, that marriage was in early Christianity not a church matter...remember faintly...it's true, that by "inventing" sacraments you do have a lot of influence on peoples lives...

But I do think, that Christian values NT or Jewish ones had quite some influence on the legislative and law-enforcement part of nations?My assumption for the moment...once for the better...also for the worse...depending what theology had the upper hand...witchburning is very much OT e.g. ...forbidding to remarry rather NT but it's something you cannot enforce by law

I am not really in the know...knowing through a historical study...what advantages Christianity brought the divers evangelised nations..it's an interesting subject...though I don't give it yet priority...anyone knows???
