Regarding salvation, I was thinking about the association of getting saved and believing in Jesus with believing guidance I was getting was from God. Like taking a verse about "rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft" and tying that to being willing to obey without question regardless of what thoughts were.
There were lots of tests of obedience and also lots of coaching on how to answer questions about TF if asked- then tests to make sure people did as instructed. I.E.: A leader disguises himself as media person. We are told media is there to ask us some questions and to answere freely (told this in front of the "media person") and then when some people answered what we were NOT supposed to, or spoke in a way we shouldn't, at the end of the interview the leader took off the disguise and corrected our answers, quite sternly.
