is a different spiritual perspective a threat?

I was just thinking about spirituality and the definition to me is not limited to one religion or even religion at all necessarily.
I don't judge anyone for being Christian by religious identity, but I don't identify with that religion much any more on a personal basis. For example, I think Jesus did a lot of great things in his life, but I am not fond of the sayings attributed to him where he says he is THE doorway, the only way to salvation, whatever that is.
I also think many people use religion in very non-spiritual ways, being soul killers rather than nurturers of spirit. David Berg is a good example of soul killer, spirit destroyer.
When I talk here about where my spirituality is today, I am not telling anyone to think like me or that their religion is weak or wrong. I'd like to converse and be able to have a different opinion by responses sometimes make me think a non-fundamentalist Christian belief on my part is some sort of threat.
Am I attempting to "convert" anyone here to my flavor of spirituality? No. I'm not even sure what that flavor is for me. It's a road to discovery.
