CB...I follow to great extent...if not all... to what you have said...

If the Julia is the Jules of "movingon"...you have also my very similar respect and view on her...my accordance...I liked her way of reasoning and her efforts etc. etc....although you might know her more...just my agreement.

It'd be a longer discourse about my standpoint towards atheists...I have close relatives being at least agnostics and Germany seems to have a very longstanding "atheist tradition"...so it's really not that new to me and I have been exposed to a lot of their thinking...

and yes...there could be good Germans too...even atheist Germans...pun intended

For me it's basically a big relabeling-scheme...
creation becomes big-bang theory...matter is without spirit & psychae...I believe in the trichotomy...as a believer...

I still marvel, that they haven't relabeled in Germany the arts-faculties/distinction...you have natural science faculties as one bigger branch then the Geisteswissenschaften...the art-faculties...languages...theology...philosophy and a host of other faculties all summed up under that roof...basically it means science of the spirit...for pure materialists that must be a big offense...

materialism is "backward" in time for me and philosophically overcome IMO

atheists must be in essence materialists otherwise they have "a problem"...even the unknown poses a bit of a threat/problem to them...that's why they never cease to believe in the strength of their mind and "wish" that mankind as a whole will eventually solve all the "riddles" and mysteries and as I said...often just a relabeling-process without proper...deeper explanation and at times just plain faulty

got to leave here...good to have you back...
