Well...in our situation it was worse because the two oldest didn't know German...when we landed almost 20 years back here...so that was virtually impossible to catch up...but TFI insisted on the bonding language English...understandably...but we carried that even further...with others not @...kind of being in a rut...regarding the two oldest...it was to their disadvantage.
I know a believer/brother of German/Russian descendants who also homeschools his children...very unusual in Germany...quite hard to get the permission for it.
