I don't do that much yoga. Now and then I find some of the exercises to be meditative. And I think meditation is something that can be practiced without yoga.

Taking time to meditate is important for me, as to what I think meditation is I like Jon Kabat-Zinn’s description of meditation. He teaches mindfulness meditation: “Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally.”

I understand that you’re concerned and want to warn me that I'm on a journey which is one that "seems right to a man" with the end being death. (We’re all going to die so it’s talking about spiritual death.) I appreciate your concern, however I now have more of a spiritual life than I could have ever dreamed. Down to earth spirituality, being free and able to one live a day at a time, learning how to be in the moment and enjoy that flowing stream of moments.

About your experience in Eastern religions, I had my share too …I was an all-American hippy, and Zen-Buddhism was often a part of my hippy experience. It’s not like I’ve accidentally fallen prey to things I don’t know anything about. Like I said in my first post, after my experience with Berg and his teachings and many years of life in the group, if there’s one thing that I’m sure of today, it’s that my eyes are open. You don’t need to be concerned for me.
