A pretty nebulous topic. I have seen and known people who calling themselves a Christian have difficulties seeing the gravity of mistakes they've made and that are obvious to many. The human mind seems to find ways to justify anything.

I am not sure that I believe in collective wisdom. The mob reaction is a good example of collective wisdom. Less violently is peer pressure, and its results can be devastating. The corporate world many times complains about "design by committee" as a joke to that type of wisdom.

I am not really dismissing your beliefs in the wisdom of a group of people, but the group must have certain characteristics, in my opinion, to get to a wise, or even intelligent outcome. I would not trust a group of Family Members to come up with a wise decision.

On that vein, that FM group may come up with a smart outcome, as in their moves all along. It is smart to get rid of people who are doubters. It is smart to lie to the system. It is smart to disguise themselves as honest people, etc.

But it is not wise. Their reckoning day will come.
