Stars rise and they fall or fade away, but the concerts are good while they are shining. anyway, I am not trying to convince anyone of my opinions here. I can't think of one post where I've indicated that you or anyone else were in danger of hellfire for the beliefs you hold, if your beliefs weren't like mine. There are very likely more "Christians" posting here than any other religion which is not odd considering what TF was about, at least originally, was at surface level about Christianity. Yes, I realize the core was rotten.
Now that most are no longer a part of TF/COG/FOL TFI or whatever it is called today, there are varying views on spirituality and I think that is great. If we all thought the same, we'd be a congregation rather than survivors of COG/FOL etc. who are discovering our own beliefs after the fog. It's great to be able to pick my own politics, religion (or lack thereof), music I like, clothes I want to wear. I've been doing that for decades now and the change over time has been fluid. I've had varying views in my search and my experience has brought me to some different conclusions about life, politics and religion than yours has. You seem really certain of your faith and indicate that it works for you when so many other venues have failed-for you. But just because it is what works for you does not mean it is the only truth there is. It may be what you believe and if that makes you happy and feeling whole, then that is great for you. It's not my cup of Java. I'm not here discounting your belief- just stating mine and that it is not the same as yours. Surely we agree on some things at least as far as what we survived in common. But beyond that, there are lots of differences.
I appreciate all kinds of music from classic to jazz, blues, bluegrass, alternative, golden oldies and cutting edge. I just like the arts in general, but like anyone, there are some things I am not wild about that passes for "art".
