For your words of wisdom. I am feeling frustrated, and that's an area of personal adjustment I need to attend to.
One of the few times I can say that I feel the power of Satan at work in the world is when I come up against that dysfunctional family double bind where there is no good way to retreat from the field of engagement and no clear pathway to a safe place.
People have a natural need to save face, particularly when we have been repeatedly humiliated and demeaned. On the other hand, the face we so stubbornly seek to save is often not a true image of who we are.
