Defining the Oneness of God

This is an age old debate with all kinds of interpretations and divergent schools of thought. Most people consider it to be Jesus' prayer for unity among his followers. It would be ironic then, that this prayer itself and the very use of the word "one" has led to such disunity among Christians.

You don't have to agree with everything you read there, but you can see just how complex the interpretation of "one" can be.

If you can define the Oneness of God and decipher all the uses of the word "one" in hebrew and greek, you can base your answer accordingly.

I prefer to keep it simple and think about it as Jesus prayer for his followrs to be complete, whole, joined to God.
