The better question may be…In what way is "we walk by faith not by sight" mysticism, or suggestive of mysticism, as per that definition, or the common expression of that term, unless the mind is too thankful.
Blavatsky seems to cover it quite well in her writings.

My opinion of IL is far from personal.
As goes for this, I will again call your attention to the reformation, not the reformators, who surely had their faults.

In the equation it behooves us to be aware many of them came out of priesthood, monkhood and/or deep superstition within the Catholic Church. That was their background, so it can only be expected they had some serious baggage to deal with. Nonetheless many of them paid with their lives for what they believed and thus acted on, well aware of what was at stake.

Again, this is a big subject, and I am not too sure if the setting is the best, or for that matter, conducive.
