There is nothing new under the sun.
Muslim expansion ever since the 7th century was almost entirely by the same formula, violent conquest, repent or physically perish. The same is true today.
But Islam could never make it's way into Europe 'by the sword', with the exception of southern Spain and parts of former Yugoslavia.
Therefore today, in addition to the sword, it is done by stealth. By carefully destabilizing (creating chaos in) the muslim countries huge waves of missionaries (muslims) are sent to these very countries that never could be taken by violence.
And all along, the Pope's churches and Islam's minarets continue to peacefully co-exist, side by side.
