You are right, polarization will continue to intensify. I find the same fanatic activism in political talk as I found in the cult. No wonder republicans and cult members appear to be alike to some people.
America is the only place I know where people still glorify both sides of a civil war that killed so many among themselves. The god of war rules and might destroy the country from within thanks to presidents like the one that is about to leave office.
