It's good to be in agreement on some things but I have a different take on Obama's policies.

First, Obama does not reduce the war on terror to a man-made disaster, that's fabricated by Republican opponents of Obama who want Americans to think that only Republicans are experts on security and fighting terrorism. Go back through the speeches he's given on the subject and it's there plain as day. In fact in his inaugural address he said “Our nation is at war against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred."
Another noteworthy fact is that 9/11 happened when Bush was president, after his administration had ignored intelligence that indicated Osama bin Laden was planning attacks on American soil.

The other day a Republican summed up how well Obama’s been doing in keeping America safe, here’s Colin Powell: "To suggest that somehow we have become much less safer because of the actions of the administration, I don't think that's borne out by the facts," Powell said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

Powell pointed out that Obama has kept in place most of the programs enacted by the Bush administration. "The Transportation Security Administration created by George Bush is still in action working in our airports," Powell told host Bob Schieffer. "They take care of me every day that I go to an airport."
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence was also created under President Bush, "and it is still under President Obama, working hard," Powell continued. "Our counterterrorism authorities and forces are hard at work. Our law enforcement officials are hard at work. We have gone after the enemy in Afghanistan with 50,000 more troops, more predators are striking al-Qaida and Taliban leaders in Pakistan. We have continued the policies that President Bush put in place with respect to Iraq. And so I don't know where the claim comes that we are less safe."

Second, Iran's leadership is insane, but does your "clenched fist" mean air strikes, invasion? Iran's got so so many people in it that think reasonably, their culture and history is such a rich one, any attack would be the height of insanity, far out-doing that of Ahmadinejad and the supreme leader.
