Not sure of your question "does lynching count?" in light of what was discussed. I know I was quite literal when talking about burnings at the stake not occuring in my lifetime in America. Lynchings, I am well aware, have occured in recent times. I am also aware that apartheid was a part of the culture in the USA in my lifetime. I can't know what the personal experience of being black in America is today or what the effects of that experience are regarding generational suffering because I am white. I grew up in the South. So I have seen a lot. It's not a culture I am proud of.
