I think he has a great plan. Better than McCain's plan to bail the big bankers out by buying the over inflated mortgages while passing the cost on to tax payers.
Also, I don't think it is wrong to have less tax breaks for the wealthiest while taxing the middle class to death.
The healthcare system in America is horrendous now if you don't have the right kind of insurance.
Many people that get checks from the government had lots of money taken out over decades for their social security. Not everyone has a neat retirement package. Also, there are people that are truly disabled that get a very small pittance to survive on. Many of them would likely work to whatever limited degree they could if their illness or disability did not mean they would lose their medical insurance and ability to get needed medication if their illness flares or they get worse. Many are afraid to lose the little bit they get.
The current business trend of many big and small businesses is to hire part time only, nearly full time, but not have to pay any benefits at all. No vacation, no sick leave, no holidays, no medical, dental etc.
The result? Less and less people can afford any quality medical care or treatment.
