Yes, I believe that society is evolving. I just mean that even back then, there was some contention about owning slaves amongst the "forefathers". I also realize that we have very different viewpoints about politics and I appreciate that we can talk about things without either of us getting twisted into knots. I have friends and relatives with very different political views than me and we can debate because that isn't what we talk about all the time and we do agree to disagree. I can understand why the majority of blacks "look down upon" conservative black politicians.
