About 1991-92 I believe. And there were a couple before that. One about Mo getting shot by a hunter with a rifle (it was in one of the small books that came out in the 80's and and another in the late 80's in one of the oversized books about some people in a boat or a ship and Berg got into speculating that suicide was justifiable in unbearable circumstances.

I don't remember their names but the reason they stand out to me at all is that I remember reading the original TIME magazine article when the People's Temple in Guyana commited mass suicide and was shocked at how wrong it was but then a leader told me that the same people who persecuted them were the ones who were persecuting us. So I was very tuned in to what Berg had to say about all this as you can imagine. Oh yeah and later Berg came out with a NRS series letter or somewhere in there saying that they'd had no choice but to commit suicide.

It wouldn't have taken much for Berg to establish the doctrine in the Family but I'm sure glad he didn't.
