I once read a diary of a woman who had been kidnapped along with her child. It was so sad I had a hard time reading it. I think the child finally died. The Indians were very cruel to them. Man's inhumanity to man transends all color, creed and culture lines. The good thing I see is the people of the U.S. are a very self-critiquing type of people and if it weren't for that, we wouldn't be trying to make all the amends to the Indian population that we are today.
