I won't waste your time aguing over why some stayed or why and when some left. There are lots of psychological and emotional and circumstancial reasons for doing so. Some people are extremely dependent on the group, as were you on your parents as a child. Many of us were adult children. Why are your folks, for example, still in? I'm scratching my head as to why I sent them money to feed and clothe you? Surely I was nuts - hee hee, no offense intended. Come to think of it, it was a well written prayer letter - I didn't know them from Dick.
I'm not sure who is arguing, or why you saying that some are saying, that it's not possible to break free from the indoctrination of the cult.
