Your choices while in TF cost you quite a lot in terms of social rejection and economic security, but something you obviously did not choose to give up was your integrity. Maybe that's why you've been able to evolve into kinder, gentler and get past some of the anger--because you hung onto your most authentic self at all costs.
I would like to see the Journeys board evolve into a place for sharing the recovery process, which in my view is a spiritual journey but not a specifically religious trip.
