If this is true, the SG will stay in power for another 40 years. Most of us will be gone by then but all of these things will have faded into a mythological battle of dragons and unicorns. Their deed got done and the perpetrators will continue the perpetrator factory.
Our only satisfaction would be right now to expose them whenever we can. Let's have names of the store fronts they use, their fake charities, their money laundry activities.
But I don't think this will happen because even as there will be more and more leave-takers they will have pity on their brothers and sisters, and friends still in. It is what some people call the asymmetric loyalty that keeps con men conning people.
