To me, one of the most abusive things TF did with people was to foster the breaking of bonds and separation of families. I'm glad you have those relationships today and that place to call home. I have that as well though not necessarily in one geographical area since my family of origin are all dead except for one sibling. My kids are grown and in other areas with their careers but bonds are good now. So there is no sentimental homestead, but there are good relations. So grateful for that. ;)
I love gardens, but I'm afraid that I have no "green thumb". More of a black one, lol.
