Hi Ralph,

Communal life is seen differently now. Groups of unrelated people are not the norm anymore. Early communes of unrelated people have given way to a new form of family home of people who are extended family, and which resulted from intermarriage. This is not to say that small bands of friends, who are not related by blood can live together. The main distinction is the degree of freedom of individual members and individual families to live on their own. The Family has formalized something that was already happening and had become common place, and give it some acceptance.

Again, not much has changed under the hood. Still the same ol' thing.

Peace
