You did let him off easy. You weren't that nasty at all. I was going over the posts again, and perhaps it was the combination of responses from both you and Don. In which case, I should have posted something to you both and not have singled you out.

By "bigoted," I mean that someone being a "hippy" should not necessarily be an indictment against them. A hippy who supports criminals and child abusers, a.k.a. Peter and Maria, would be another thing.
