The statement that Denise Borowik "was never a member of The Family" is incorrect.
She was born in The Family and was a second generation "member" during her early childhood.
According to a September 1993 article (link below), her mother left The Family "about 18 months ago" which would have been around March 1992 when Denise was 14 months old and didn't get her three children out until "several months" before September 1993. Assuming "several months" means 6 months that would have been March 1993 when Denise was about 26 months old.
