Hmmmmm... thinking about what you postulated about Peter, him maybe giving a substantial amount to the early COG on joining or thereafter.... MAYBE.

The orginal disciples from the streets of Amsterdam were almost all penniless and without too much education. In worldly terms they would have been deemed low class, (the same as most that joined in England as well). Its very possible the leadership in Amsterdam, might have seen an UPGRADE by accepting Peter into their ranks. He just didn;t fit into the rank and file. He wasn;t a long haired freak, but probably university educated and maybe from a good family background.... Hmmm good point.

I felt out of place being a university graduate, and being older than the majority. (22).... and because I was not from a hippie background. So maybe money and Peter's mannerisms and talking the talk all, influeneced them into bringing him INSTANTLY into the upper rooms of CHURCHSTRAT 7
