1) Excog is right but though not primarily to deny one thing or another, or to demonize some one who left, there was to creat a "multitude of witnesses".
For example, the many "testimonies" denying the very existence of the Davidito book and the teachings of Berg, Maria and Sara about pedophilia. that was a campaign of misinformation crown by the lies from those academic that still keep defending the cult's behavior.
2) While not an affidavit, in the early 70s there was a document everybody had to signed that look like an application of membership. It included all types of personal information such as parents names, professions, etc.
That document could have been used as proof of voluntary membership if necessary. I guess I aam one of the few from those days that still have a few memories about it. Maybe one of this days the blessing of getting Alzheimer's will hit...
