To me, empirical means "based on observation and logic."

Logical conclusions can always be flawed, depending on the adequacy of the assumptions with which you build your logic chain. Observations are always biased by the instrument used to measure them. Therefore, we can never achieve a truly accurate and completely dependable empirical metric of any sort.

There is always a logic loop in every argument about God, because human minds are finite. We can never get beyond our limitations, and I do not claim to know anything with absolutely certainty, particularly when it comes to matters of faith. I can only hope there is something more than what I are able to imagine or logically conclude.

"Now in this hope we were saved, yet hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?" (Rom. 8:24)
