I agree with you ...Chesterton is supposed to have answered to the question, why angels could fly, because they take it light...or something of the like (because I remeber the German rendering of the whole)...& in laughing - some editor remarked - we take ourselves/it light...
But before we get to such a wonderful attitude, we burden ourselves with much...also because of fear...fear of failing, falling short of some goals, failing others as well (doing good etc.)...all kind of duties & by this weight, we are just bound to frown : (
It's amazing, how silly & "light" people get, when they have drunk some or too much...I drink very seldom, but from the past I remember, I can laugh about the silliest things "endlessly"...
They have some "sects" or "self-help-groups", where such "holy" laughter is trained & part of the goals.
Well, in some ironic moods...I think the world is
a "joke"...which is different from having a big smile on your face...stemming from deep joy from within...a gift/work of God....
