I don't think the video's "mad characiture" of Jesus has anything to do with the God that I profess. Nor do I think a guy prancing down the streets of Manhatten in a loin cloth and wig comes within a thousand miles of representing the Christ who illuminates my walk with God.

Yet I acknolwege there are people who identify as Christian, but take offense at a goofy video that uses a Jesus character with surprising reversals of expectation. That's why I ran it past my office mates--besides the fact that they heard me fall off my chair and roll on the floor laughing.

The guy on the video isn't our Creator. The video is mocking a popular representation of Jesus, and in my opinion, it's an idol of God that's being smashed. Maybe a difference between people who identify as Christians on this issue is that some of us don't identify with the popular images of Jesus, or if we do, we don't view them as sacred and holy.
