i would agree that the sincere followers of various worldveiws ought not be "dissed". heck, in my worldveiw it actually tells me WHY that is the case. but recognizing that it is not possible for all these conflicting points of veiw to be right at the same time, AND that beliefs have consequences (i.e. 9/11 , the family etc.) then isn't it incumbent upon us to at least try to sort thru the philosophical issues? if there is a trail of evidence that leads to a creator who has not only created us w/ a specific design (plan) , but also left us a roadmap to experiencing that plan, but even left us w/ both an internal yearning to connect w/ him, and a way of so doing,...well, it seems like it may be worth the effort, whatever the roadblocks and detours and false directions we encounter along the route.
