If I arrive at city so & so, I can theorise, immagine what I would/could be doing...still I haven't arrived there...so it's hypothetical, yet possible...likewise your family-member wouldn't know for sure, what he'd be doing.Jesus advise was simply to trust today in God & not to worry about tommorrow...taking care of things which are most important today.I found, that this is really often/mostly the case in my life.Many/most things are anyway beyond our direct control.
I trusted/believed God 30 some years ago and I still do it...it's not such a good "entertainment" of the mind to consider: what if I failed, what if I stopped believing etc.
What I was referring to was the "professional" scepticals...the pessimists...that school of philosophy, which is - to my knowledge - still not countered by the positivists, those who think to be able to "number", weigh & label everything...putting everything in respective "logic-boxes"...I am not saying, one shouldn't question things, but to be so "positive", that everything or most could be explained & analysed by "little us" is a bit presumptious IMHO.
