It's ok if you have a rhetorical preference of the
posters here, I don't mind...however, I don't agree in substance a lot neither with you nor CB nor with BB(for sure)...so in the longrun, it's about the substance. In the time past, I took the time (kind of wasted it??) to please the audience by trying to rifine my wording here...only to find out, that it hardly makes a difference anyway...since peoples minds are made up??so it's great to have you intervening every now and then on the behalf of the poor posters like BB, who just post a lot of unsubstantiated garbage, just to prove/excuse their personal dislike for Christianity.Since you distanced yourself from Christianity, I understand your last move...well, it's strange, that someone who has memorised "The proof" would need even greater arguments in support of the messianic position of Christ.Buddha had no prophecy to announce him, that we know of.

Recently I followed a debate on German TV with a catholic Bishop, a theologist turned atheist & some other unbeliever & some believers....was quite interesting. The most fierce one happened to be the atheist...strange!!Interrupting others, just because he had no patience, but expecting it from the Bishop...weird...anyway...one argument he had, was that democracy & humanity is build on the Greek philosophers long before Christianity came along...that is a strange view in light of what Justin (and Theophil of Antioch) wrote of the role of the Greek philosophy etc.

I agree, that my comment...the one you quoted...was quite judgemental/ a prejudice...a judgement without having all the facts about BB....it simply is beyond me, how someone with this knowledge (like that in the The proof contained) could possible deviate so much from the truth....my only explanation was: not read/or not understood ...sorry, any other possibilities didn't come to my mind.

By the way @ 140 AC Ariston of Pella is supposed to have written the Dialogue between Jason (messianic Jew) and Papiskus , another Jew...the
quoted messianic prophecies of the OT had the result, that Papiskus desired baptism...

Well, good old days.
